Week 10 went out with a bang! I finished off my 2000 word essay for my Contemporary Issues in Asia and Australia class early in the week. This was the one about China's influences in Africa and how the Western world feels about them. It turned out to be a very interesting topic and I enjoyed the writing the paper. I know, I'm a nerd. I am glad that it is done though!
All day Wednesday and Thursday of that week I spend studying for my Psychology exam on Visual Perception. There was a lot of information, but luckily I got through it all. I had time to go over the review questions before the exam on Thursday evening. I am so glad I did too, it turned out that 15 of the review questions were the actual questions on the exam, and we got to pick which 9 out of the 15 we wanted to answer! All this means that I think the exam went well. Of course I won't know until the exam is returned to me, but it is such a relief that it was easier than expected!
With all of this work out of the way, I of course rewarded myself by attending the Interhall Ball on Thursday night! The theme of the ball was the 7 deadly sins. I therefore went as numerous sins: a bit of wrath, greed, and some lust. It turned out to be an awesome party with very cool costumes. Some of my favorites were the "grapes of wrath" and the statue of liberty, representing American pride the people actually dressed as sloths and those wearing McDonalds (Maccas) costumes for gluttony!

After turning in my essay on that Friday all I had to worry about was packing for my two week holiday. That was an overbearing task, especially trying to fit everything I wanted to bring in my one carry-on bag. I'm obviously not a light packer! I mostly completed it though, of course in plenty of time to prepare for another rewarding night out for Burgmann College's Pub Golf pub crawl. It was an epic night. We received t-shirts giving us the par for each place we went and everyone had so much fun.
It was two awesome nights after one rough work week, and they were followed by one heck of a vacation! There will be more on the last two weeks very very soon, so don't go anywhere!
